LIfe on the road is taxing but is well worth it for all the fun we have and things we see.
Like a stampede of Sheep, too bad we didn’t have a sheepdog whistle…..

afters years of driving by a closed cookie time factory we finally scored. Hot cookies and giant broken cookie bags.

Tom just ate a can of spinach

This little fella was pretty excited, he even threw a rock at me

Nelson is the sunniest place in NZ, good time to trek about with a day pack

Some are made for the busy life some just arn’t

This is the tale of two fools.
After being stuck inland for a week the ocean was to us what Burger king is to David Tua. Along the Kaikoura coast two homesick part time nomads spot Nims Bin caravan crayfish diner. With not much time to spare we pulled into the gravel pit and called out from the car “how mucha for a taily” ..”Come see” the wahine says. We go in. The first sign I see is ‘garlic butter cray $5′, we thought we’d found the best gravel pit on the east coast. We order two and talk smack with the worker. I was snapping off a few photos around the caravan while the crays were being cooked. Soon after the call goes out and we head in to pay our $10 bargain for the afternoon snack, only after handing my eftpos card all I heard was one two eight. In my head I have a momentary freak out but settle after realizing she means $12.80…or not the screen read $128.00. Some how we all had some very crossed wires and what was a small cheap snack turned into a $64.00 each afternoon snack. $5 was just for the garlic butter. I can’t think where else you’d pay that much and still eat with plastic cutlery.
apparently the numbers are prices.

She had to come out front to get reception for the eftpos – Tom is really happy that she managed to still make it work

Half smile, bitter sweet

Who to tell first?

I have bounced around a few places in the last month hence why I haven’t blogged much. Since Morocco I checked out Barcelona then back to Paris and met up with one of our designers Kaz who was over for a few macaroons. Spent some time in England and then played a few gigs in Germany. I am back at the laptop now and having a great time in Berlin, I’ll get you some photos from here real soon. Enjoy fashion week NZ.

Tarp Surfing in Germany on my friend Mitch’s Penny skateboard.

A couple of German must haves.

Driving on the autobahn is super fun. At one stage I was doing 140 in the slow lane (nana driver).
Fergburger makes the best burgers in New Zealand, and that is not my opinion it’s a fact according to every person in Queenstown. No matter what hour of the day it is Fergburger will be humming. Rather than trying to spread around the country opening new Ferg joints (please be in the Mount if it does) instead they opened up a classic style bakery right next door called Fergbaker

We’ve been a few men (mostly women) down for the last while with people living the dreams. Dan and Nats traveling Europe still so keep a eye out for Dan abroad #7. Tam got sun soaked in South Asia and Karen tripped around Mexico with Hambo, Keone and Ellie trying as hard as possible to make everyone back here jealous, and did a top job. Here is a video documetation featuring a country called Mexico. (photos by Rambo Estrada)

Everytime we hit the road we are reminded of how amazingly beautiful New Zealand is and how rad friends are. The boys had a killer time tripping to Welly and back. Good food and friends, thanks to Chow for grilled chicken wrapped in Banana leaf and peanut and blue cheese wontons. Ruben and Darwin from GAG for hospitality and Monty for being a good cat.

I’ve been in Morocco this last week and it’s been all over the show: relaxed, immense, annoying, beautiful, hot, windy, old, new… Here’s a few photos.

I have had some amazing food here including a lot of Couscous and Tangine.

Amazing sunsets…

Humphrey saying cheese.
I trained over to Italy last weekend. I got to attempt a few bombs, saw the leaning tower of Pisa and watch an Arcade Fire gig.

It had to be done, luckily there were no pro bombers to critique my style.

well impressed… kinda.
